SÁILE – poems in Gaelic, Welsh and English set to music by Alain Genty and with Joanne McIver

Picture

Sáile is a selection of sixteen poems in Irish, Welsh and English by Diarmuid Johnson set in haunting soundscapes by composer Alain Genty and enhanced with the subtle rhythms of fretless bass and accompanying instruments. The album grew out of work written on the tiny island of Inishnee in Connemara in March 2021 to become a journey across open seas and over the boundless oceans of the mind. We invite you to travel with us over these unmapped waters. 'Sáile' is available on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music and YouTube.
